| Bio: |  General Information Name: Sean Cassidy Codename: Banshee Age: 18 (born July 1st) Powers Description of Powers: To say it simply, Banshee has a super sonic scream. To get a bit more through, Banshee has superhuman lungs, throat, and vocal cords, and produces a sonic scream. This scream, allowed him to fly, stun others with the sheer noise, and his scream can also create sonic blasts. Thanks to some very limited psionic powers, he's able to "talk" while he's screaming. Banshee is immune to his powers, the noise of his scream doesn't bother him at all. He tends to slouch a bit, which gives the impression that he is shorter than he is. Prone to not giving much thought to his appearance, Sean sometimes has a bit of stubble from lack of shaving, and his clothes tend to be rumpled. He likes the colour green, and has a lot of T-shits and dress shirts in that colour. Personality Quirks/Habits: Sean has a secret love of Hugh Grant movies. Key word here is secret. He is a bit of a lapsed Catholic (only goes to church on Easter and Christmas) but he can't go to sleep at night until he's said his prayers. Likes: Being outside, flying, the colour green, fantasy novels, Bruce Willis movies, the dark, late nights, high places, loud music. Dislikes: Snakes, the colour yellow, insects in general, shows that show operations, early mornings, the show The X-files, people who mumble. Phobias/Fears: Cats, swimming (he's afraid of water), Extrovert/Introvert: Extrovert Background Brief Personal History: Sean Cassidy was born and raised in Ireland, and is the heir to the Cassidy land, and money. Growing up, he would spend his summers at the families traditional home (Cassidy Keep), and during the school year he attend various private schools in Dublin. When Sean was sixteen, he was (as always) spending his summer at the Keep, and it was that summer that Sean -- and his immediate family -- discovered he was a mutant. Privately, Sean doesn't think of that summer as the summer he discovered he was a mutant, to Sean, that summer will always be known as 'the summer I almost broke my neck'. Sean had been up in the upper hallway of the keep, and leaning out over the railing, and looking down in the hall. He had been shouting something derogatory at one of his cousins, and getting rather carried away with it. He was leaning forward, and than leaning forward some more out over the railing, when he leaned out just a little too far. Sean fell, opened his mouth to scream, sure that it was going to be the last thing he did -- and boy did he scream. And fly. And break a ton of windows. His family decided to deal with this -- by pretending that nothing had happened. And by making Sean swear that he would keep his mouth shut. Keep his mouth shut in every sense of the word. Now the summer that Sean turned seventeen ... Sean thinks of that as the summer that he meet Maeve. Maeve helped bail Sean out of a tight spot that summer -- coming back from a football game, Sean had the bad luck to run into some supporters of the other team. Words got exchanged, and things started to look rather bad for Sean, and than Maeve showed up. She showed up on her bike, and helped Sean flee the scene, although the guys who had been giving Sean a hard time, well they had a car. A chase ensued, and things almost ended up very badly for Sean and Maeve. There was an accident with the motorcycle, but Sean used his powers to save himself and Maeve. The bike didn't survive, but Sean and Maeve did. She took the power thing right in stride at first, and that was the start of a beautiful friendship. Friendship quickly became something else as Sean fell, and fell hard for Maeve. She returned his feelings, and the two became an item. The summer that Sean was eighteen, was the summer that he was preparing to go to college. Not wanting to be separated from Maeve, he decided to proposed to her, outlining a plan in which they got married, moved in together, and went to school together. She refused his offer, and feeling that Sean was moving far too fast, she broke up with him. Sean was crushed. And sunk into a funk, and started talking about not going to college, but maybe going on a trip around Europe or doing ... something that wasn't school related. He opted for a trip around Europe, that lasted for a few months and than he ended up back at Cassidy Keep. He's been moping around the keep since that time, not sure what he wants to do with his life. So when a letter arrived for him in March, 2009 from America of all places, Sean was very excited. A change of scenery was just what he needed. He planned on doing some pre-university prep work at this school in the US, and than applying for university in the US.
