Sean had spent the whole drive from the airport to the school, reminding himself that they drove on the other side of the road here. He was aware that this was the first of many adjustments that he was going to have to make in his life now. People driving on the other side of the road, going to school in America . . . .
"Here we are." The cab driver gruffly announced, and turned to look back at Sean.
Sean nodded, and took out out his wallet, and added 'getting use to American money', to his mental list of things he was going to have to get use to. Handing over the bills, he exited the cab, and stood there looking at the building in front of him. It didn't look much like the schools he had been used to.
Oh well. One more adjustment to make he supposed.
And that was the whole point of this, to make some changes in his life, make some adjustments. A change of scenery, he had decided would be good for him, and his parents, obviously glad he was making decisions again, and not just sulking around had agreed, and here he was. In America.
